A plein air painting of the cottages in Adare, Limerick.
I was drawn to how the overgrowth and vine leaves were illuminated by the sun while casting dark shadows on the ground. With all outdoor painting, the light was frequently changing, so when it was overcast I focused on structure of the house and pathway, and when the sun came out, I'd capture the colours and shadows.
